Island to Island

We've landed right back in London after our residency in Jersey last week. We sure had a wonderful, whirlwind time on the island. Very thankful to ArtHouse Jersey for hosting us and providing us with the time and space to develop Just Lose It! Big thanks as well to the Jersey Opera House for welcoming Bin the Belly and their inaugural Channel Islands end of year extravaganza!

But how to rehearse an immersive show when so much depends on the audience's interaction ? We're certainly still testing the waters and having a blast along the way. Much in the rehearsal room is left as an open question or provocation which can make a sense of the piece as whole difficult to muster. The residency has given us time to push Just Lose It! in directions new and absurd. And certainly having the chance to preview the show in Jersey was an amazing opportunity to see the potential of the piece working with a very different audience from our first R&D preview in May.

Now we're back in London and the festive season is suddenly upon us...

Amidst the mulled wine and mince pies we'll be getting our heads together and plotting where and when Brian and his nutty party will be popping up next. Stay tuned!
